Lake Chalet Hosts "Oktoberfest on the Lake" with Souvenir Steins and 30 Piece Band
- October 9, 2016
Lake Chalet Seafood Bar & Grill in Oakland hosts their second annual "Oktoberfest on the Lake" celebration on Sunday, October 9. Tickets, priced at $25.00, ensure guests admission to an event that last year sold out and they receive a souvenir "Regatta Red Ale" Oktoberfest stein filled with a liter of house brewed Chalet ale with choices that include Oktoberfest Lager, Regatta Red Ale, or Lake Chalet's signature Lady of the Lake Blonde Ale. Tickets can be purchased at bit.ly/LakeChaletOktoberfestTickets.
There will be live musical entertainment on the Chalet dock from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. performed by Deutscher Musikverein, a 30 piece traditional German "oom-pah" band, plus sing-alongs of famous German songs like "Ein-Prosit" every half hour.
Complementing the musical entertainment and the specialty Chalet brews will be the availability of menu items in the spirit of the occasion including Bavarian Pretzels and Beer-Braised Bratwurst. In addition, Executive Chef John Jackson will be offering other traditional German Oktoberfest foods with a local East Bay twist. Servers dressed up as Bavarian barmaids will add to the festivities.
