Oakland’s Pedalfest is a family-friendly celebration of bikes and cycling that spotlights cycling as a great activity for everyone. The festival features live music, radical bike stunts, safety training, a kid’s bike rodeo and an amazing display of bicycles including vintage bikes, hand-built bikes, art bikes and high-end custom bikes. Proceeds from the event benefit Bike East Bay, an organization that works for safe and enjoyable cycling for everyone in the area.
For the 16th year Oakland's street's will be filled with music, dance, food, and family fun during the Art & Soul Oakland Festival. Highlights include the Oaktown Throwdown BBQ Competition, Gospel Showcase, Turf & All-Styles Dance Battle, Kinetics Arts Circus Stage, and a Family Fun Zone.
The Oakland Pride Parade + Festival is held annually in celebration of the area’s LGBTQ community. The festival is dedicated to promoting equality and educating the greater community while bringing people together with a day of festivities. The event kicks off with a parade and features several stages of live music and performances, artist impersonators, a Family & Children’s Garden with kid-centric attractions and entertainment, an Official After-Party and more.
The premier fundraising event of Food Craft Institute, the Eat Real Festival is an annual celebration of good food with a focus on artisan food craft, street food, craft beers, local wines and delicious cocktails—all featuring sustainable local ingredients. By highlighting fresh and local ingredients, Eat Real shows how easy it is to support a regional food system by bringing farmers, food producers and eaters together.After its seventh year, Eat Real had generated more than $3 million in sales revenues for participating vendors and over 600,000 people have attended our events since 2009. 100% of our profits go to support the Food Craft Institute, a non-profit educational institution advocating traditional food craft, entrepreneurship, and economic development for small business.
